The Department of Education, in its commitment to ensure continuous education amidst pandemic formally announced September 13, 2021 as the official start of school year 2021-2022. In preparation for the opening of classes, the Brigada Eskwela 2021 with the theme: “Bayanihan sa Paaralan” will be emphasizing the country’s collective efforts to implement the Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan and to ensure the delivery of quality basic education despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

This year’s Brigada Eskwela activities shall include the collaboration for safety living and addressing social issues and concerns in schools, at homes, and in the community. Hence, the Brigada Pagbasa as one of the activities of Brigada Eskwela shall serve as a platform to combine efforts and resources in addressing education-related challenges especially on literacy and numeracy.
