The La Huerta National High School – School Governance Council has been a beacon of collaboration, innovation, and positive change within our educational community. On its first year of establishment, the SGC has achieved its success, contributing significantly to the enhancement of our school’s overall performance and the fulfillment of its mission.
The SGC has fostered stronger relationships between the school and our community, leading to increased parent involvement. By organizing informative social media platforms; school page and group chats, and dated meetings. We have created a more inclusive and supportive educational atmosphere. This increased engagement has proven to have a positive impact on students’ success. The SGC has worked collaboratively to develop a comprehensive strategic plan, setting clear objectives for the school’s future. This vision provides a roadmap for continuous improvement and helps ensure that our educational programs remain aligned with the needs of our students and community.
The council also has played a crucial role in crafting the annual implementation plan. By assessing the needs of the school and prioritizing where resources are best utilized, we have optimized spending to support our educational objectives. This financial stewardship has resulted in better facilities, improved technology, and increased opportunities for our students.
With the SGC’s guidance, our school has introduced innovative programs and extracurricular activities to enrich the educational experience. Initiatives such as out-of-school activities and school clubs have broadened students’ horizons and encouraged a love for learning.
The SGC’s efforts have contributed to fostering a positive and inclusive school culture. By promoting values like respect, tolerance, and diversity, we have created resolution of the school rules and regulations to create environment where students feel safe and motivated to learn.
As we look forward to the future, the SGC remains steadfast in its mission to promote excellence in education and create an environment that empowers our students to thrive and succeed.
The success of the LHNHS – School Governance Council would not have been possible without the commitment, collaboration, and dedication of all its members, including parents, teachers, and community representatives. We are excited to build upon these achievements and continue to work tirelessly for the betterment of our school and the success of our students.

The Gulayan sa Paaralan Program or the GPP, aims to promote food security in our public schools and communities through self-help food production activities and fostering the appreciation of agriculture as a life support system.
The ‘Gulayan sa Tahanan HangGang sa Tahanan’ Project shall be participated by the teaching, and non-teaching personnel, parents, and stakeholders of LHNHS in initiating the development of vegetable gardens in their homes that will serve as food baskets to sustain vegetable consumption.
The School strongly supports this endeavor by adopting a garden area where its teachers developed and prepared plant pots and containers. They cleaned and prepared the soil by plowing and mixing it with garden soil and organic fertilizer such as vermin cast and animal manure. The school also encourages stakeholders and respective students to plant vegetables in their backyards and provides vegetable seedlings ready for transplanting.
